Club rules

These rules apply to every member and are accepted at registration.
Article 1 — Membership
Membership is annual and runs with the sporting season, September to August. It takes effect once the fee is paid and the medical certificate handed in. Fees are not refunded if you stop mid-season, except on justified medical grounds.
Article 2 — Respect and conduct
This is a combat sports club: respect for your training partner, the coaches and the equipment is the condition for training here. Deliberate violence outside the exercise, harassment of any kind, and discrimination are grounds for immediate exclusion.
Article 3 — Hygiene
Clean kit every session, short nails, clean feet on the mat. Personal protection (mouthguard, groin guard) is not shared. Open wounds must be covered before stepping onto the mat.
Article 4 — Equipment
The club lends gear to beginners for their first sessions. After that each member equips themselves: gloves, mouthguard, shin guards depending on the discipline. Borrowed equipment is returned at the end of the session.
Article 5 — Safety during training
Sparring happens only under a coach’s supervision and between partners of compatible level. The intensity the coach sets must be respected. A partner who taps twice is released immediately, without exception.
Article 6 — Medical certificate and injuries
A medical certificate confirming fitness to train is mandatory. Any new injury or condition must be reported to the coach before the session. The club may refuse mat access to anyone whose condition presents a risk.
Article 7 — Minors
Minors are in the club's care during their own class only. Guardians check that a coach is present before leaving their child, and collect them at the end time. A parental authorisation, including consent to medical transport in an emergency, is signed at registration.
Article 8 — Image rights
Photos and video may be taken at training and competitions. Each member states at registration whether they allow publication, refuse it, or want their face blurred. That choice can be changed at any time by asking the committee.
Article 9 — Sanctions
Breaching these rules may lead to a warning, a temporary suspension, or exclusion decided by the committee. The member concerned is heard before any exclusion is decided.
These rules are being finalised by the committee. The definitive version will be displayed at the dojo and sent to members before the season starts.
